this puzzle started from me craving kashmiri chai and then also wanting to include it in a grid. having a tea color theme was one way to do that , i do love tea so i'm also trying to think of more 'tea party' themes

i hope other tea lovers enjoy this puzzle ! 

i tried making the clues as tea related as i could 

here's a lovely looking cup of kashmiri chai, i particularly like when the tea is given a smoky flavor, it's often specially served in weddings ~

i liked having STEEP at 39-A cause it's the center spot

i also liked including ANISE (16-A) and OATIER (33-A)
